    Heat the oven to 200C. Soften the butter and beat in the crushed garlic, chopped parsley and salt.
  2. 2
    Cut the bread into thick slices, not all the way through, so it stays as a loaf. Spread the garlic butter into each cut.
  3. 3
    Push the grated cheese down into the gaps and over the top, then wrap loosely in foil.
  4. 4
    Bake for 8 minutes, then open the foil and bake another 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Pull apart and serve hot.
