1Peel the potatoes and cut into chips about 1cm thick. Soak in cold water for 5 minutes, then drain and pat thoroughly dry.

2Crush the garlic and toss the chips in the cooking oil with the garlic, paprika, salt and pepper until evenly coated.

3Preheat the air fryer to 180C. Add the chips in as even a layer as you can.

4Cook at 180C for 22-25 minutes, shaking the basket every 8 minutes, until golden and crisp.

5Tip out, season with a little more salt and serve straight away.
