The recipe

    Heat the oven to 200C. Brown the beef mince with the chopped onion in a large pan for 6-8 minutes until no pink remains.

    Stir in the garlic, chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, crumbled stock cube and mixed herbs, then simmer for 15 minutes.

    Meanwhile cook the pasta in boiling salted water until just shy of al dente, then drain.

    Stir the pasta through the meat sauce, tip into an ovenproof dish and scatter over the grated cheese.

    Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden and bubbling, then serve.
