1Prick each sausage once or twice with a fork to stop them bursting. Cut the onion and red pepper into thick chunks.

2Toss the onion and pepper with the cooking oil, salt and pepper.

3Preheat the air fryer to 180C. Add the sausages in a single layer and scatter the vegetables around them.

4Cook at 180C for 16-18 minutes, turning the sausages and shaking the veg halfway, until browned all over.

5Check the sausages are cooked through with no pink meat and the juices run clear before serving.
