The recipe

    Heat the oven to 170C and line a loaf tin. Mash the bananas well in a large bowl.

    Beat in the softened butter, sugar and eggs, then fold in the flour and cinnamon until just combined.
  3. 3
    Ripple the cocoa powder through the batter for a marbled chocolate effect, then scrape into the tin and level the top.
  4. 4
    Bake for 50-55 minutes until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn out and slice.
