The recipe

Instructions

    Whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon and half the sugar together in a wide shallow dish.

    Dip each slice of bread into the mixture, turning to coat both sides and letting it soak for a few seconds.

    Melt half the butter in a frying pan over a medium heat.
  4. 4
    Fry the bread for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and set, adding the rest of the butter as needed.
  5. 5
    Dust with the remaining sugar and serve warm.
