Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding

    Heat the oven to 150C. Butter an ovenproof dish and tip in the rice and sugar.
  2. 2
    Pour over the milk and stir, then dot the top with the rest of the butter and dust with cinnamon.
  3. 3
    Bake for about 2 hours, stirring once after the first half hour, until the rice is tender and a golden skin has formed on top.

    Leave to stand for 5 minutes, then spoon into bowls and serve warm.
