1Heat the oil in an ovenproof pan and brown the sausages all over for 6 to 7 minutes, then lift out.

2Fry the chopped onion in the same pan for 5 minutes, then add the garlic and paprika and cook for another minute.

3Stir in the chopped tomatoes, drained beans and mixed herbs, then return the sausages to the pan.

4Simmer for 5 minutes, then transfer to a 190C oven and bake for 15 minutes until the sausages are cooked through and the sauce is thick.

5Rest for 2 minutes, then serve hot with bread to mop up the sauce.
