Instructions

    Melt the butter in a small pan, stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, then whisk in the milk to make a thick paste.

    Lower the heat and stir in the grated cheese, mustard and worcestershire sauce until melted into a smooth spreadable mixture.

    Toast the bread on both sides under a hot grill, then spread the cheese mixture thickly over each slice.

    Grill for 2-3 minutes until deep golden and bubbling, then serve at once.
