Sweet, savoury, slithery sweet potato noodles tossed with rainbow vegetables and a sesame-soy glaze. Korea's celebration noodles — but cheap enough to make on a Tuesday night.

The recipe

    Soak the sweet potato noodles in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain.

    Slice all the vegetables into thin matchsticks. Stir-fry each separately in a little oil for 1-2 minutes; pile on a plate.

    Stir-fry the sliced beef with garlic for 3 minutes until cooked through.

    Boil the soaked noodles for 4-5 minutes until tender. Drain and toss with soy, sugar and sesame oil.
  5. 5
    Combine noodles, vegetables and beef in the wok over low heat. Toss together for 1 minute. Top with sesame seeds and spring onion.
