1Cook the rice in boiling water until tender, then drain and keep warm.

2Cut the potatoes into bite-sized chunks and simmer in a pan of water for 8 minutes until just tender, then drain.

3Return the potatoes to the pan with the soy sauce, honey, crushed garlic and 150ml water and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring, until the potatoes are cooked through and the sauce is thick and glossy.

4Stir through the sesame oil so everything turns shiny.

5Scatter with sesame seeds and sliced spring onion and serve with the rice.
