1Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into fries about 1cm thick. Pat them thoroughly dry.

2Toss in a bowl with the cooking oil, paprika, salt and pepper until evenly coated.

3Preheat the air fryer to 190C and add the fries in as even a layer as possible.

4Cook at 190C for 16-20 minutes, shaking the basket every 6-7 minutes, until softened inside and crisp at the edges.

5Tip out and serve straight away while crisp.
