Instructions

    Thinly slice the potatoes and leeks, and rub an ovenproof dish with the cut garlic clove.
  2. 2
    Layer the potatoes and leeks in the dish, seasoning each layer with salt and pepper.
  3. 3
    Warm the milk and cream together, pour over the potatoes and scatter the grated cheese on top.
  4. 4
    Cover with foil and bake at 190C for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake a further 15 minutes until golden and tender.
