The recipe

Instructions

    Soak the bread in milk. Soften chopped onion in oil 6 minutes.
  2. 2
    Add garlic, spices for 1 minute. Add mince, brown 8 minutes. Stir in raisins, chopped almonds, chutney, vinegar and the soaked bread (squeezed).

    Tip into a baking dish and press flat. Stick the bay leaves vertically into the meat.

    Whisk eggs with remaining milk and salt. Pour over the mince.

    Bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes until the topping is set and golden. Serve with rice.
